Gurudwara Chatti Padshahi is one of the most significant Sikh shrines in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. It is associated with Guru Hargobind Ji, the sixth Sikh Guru, who visited this region in the 17th century.According to historical accounts, Guru Hargobind Ji traveled to Kashmir to spread Sikh teachings and meet his followers. During his visit, he stayed near Hari Parbat Fort, where he preached the principles of Sikhism. A devoted Sikh woman, Mai Bhagbhari, had long prayed to meet a Sikh Guru. It is believed that her prayers were answered when Guru Hargobind Ji blessed her at this location. This event made the site an important place of worship for Sikhs. After Guru Hargobind Ji's visit, a small shrine was established at the site. Over time, it was developed into a Gurudwara to commemorate his stay. The shrine was later expanded to accommodate more visitors, and it remains a place of worship, service, and community gatherings.
