By Air
The nearest airport is Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport (SXR), about 12 km from the park. From the airport, you can take a taxi or arrange for hotel pickup. .
By Train
The nearest major railway station is Jammu Tawi, around 300 km away. From Jammu, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Srinagar.
By Road
Srinagar is well-connected by road, and you can reach the park by local taxis or auto-rickshaws. The city has good bus services as well.
Best time to Visit
Spring (March to May)
Spring is one of the best times to visit Nehru Park. The temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 10°C to 20°C (50°F to 68°F). This season sees an explosion of colours as flowers bloom, making the park a picturesque spot for leisurely walks and picnics.
Summer (June to August)
Summer in Srinagar can be warm, with temperatures ranging from 20°C to 30°C (68°F to 86°F). Despite the heat, it remains a popular time for visitors, as the park is lush and green. Early morning or late afternoon visits are recommended to avoid the midday heat.
Autumn (September to October)
