Ganderbal
Overview
Barwala waterfall is situated 1 km from Kijpora bridge or Dumping park of Kangan. Before the Kijpora bridge visitors have to take a left turn if visitors are coming from Ganderbal side to reach this picturesque waterfall of Barwalla . The place is abuzz with gushing water from a man made channel (waterfall).
Weather
Spring (March to May)
Mild and pleasant, with temperatures between 10°C and 25°C. This season is ideal for nature walks as flowers bloom and greenery flourishes. .
Summer (June to August)
Warm, reaching up to 30°C. The waterfall swells due to snowmelt, offering a powerful flow, making early visits preferable to avoid the heat. .

Cooler temperatures ranging from 5°C to 20°C. The fall foliage enhances the area’s beauty, attracting photographers and hikers.

By Air
The nearest airport is Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport (Srinagar Airport), approximately 68 km away from Barwalla. You can book a taxi or take a local bus to reach the waterfall from the airport. .
By Train
The closest railway station is in Jammu, about 135 km away. From Jammu, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Barwala.
By Road
Barwala is well-connected by road. You can drive or hire a taxi from nearby towns such as Srinagar or Ganderbal.
